![]() ELWENThe Swimming Sun, The Blessed Elf (By Elwenists), The Scorching Day (By Newleists) ALIGNMENT : lawful good - true neutral followers called Elwenists |
Elwen and Newle are seen as many things by the residents of PLACEHOLDER. The creators of the universe, the universe’s first children, star dust in human form— none of these theories are confirmed, though it is known that they do exist. They are usually seen as twins, representing many different aspects of the universe, world, and its inhabitants. They are both humanoid and genderless, though Elwen presents masculine and Newle feminine. Newle is commonly shown with both reproductive systems of humanoids and Elwen having neither. Neither of them have pupils— their eyes are only white, occasionally glowing. They are sometimes seen as “good” and “bad” — Elwen and Newle — but it has been increasingly understood that neither are truly good nor evil. They're best compared to yin and yang, a balance. Elwenists and Newleist have a sort of rivalry with each other, as do Elwen and Newle themselves, but it is important to note that neither are worse or better! |
![]() NEWLEThe Winged Moon, The Cursed Bird (By Elwenists), The Cooling Night (By Newleists) ALIGNMENT : chaotic neutral - true neutral followers called Newleists |
Elwen presents masculine, with his hair long, glowing, and ranging from pure white to a comforting yellow, reminiscent of the sun. (It is sometimes said he is the sun, or that he put the sun in the sky) He is usually represented with dark skin.
He has the form of a humanoid, the gills and tail of a fish, the ears of an elf, and the resilience of a dwarf. He is represented with no genitalia at all, representing asexual creatures.
His symbol is the sun cradled by two tentacles.
He is commonly associated with goodness, purity, conformity, tradition, and comfort. He is credited with creating species seen as “good”, like high elves, dwarves, and halflings. He and his alignments lean more toward lawful good to true neutral, though they are not restricted to these.
Newle presents feminine, her hair short and completely devoid of any light, except for the flickering stars seen in it. (A common fairy tale is that her hair holds the universe.) She is usually represented with pale skin.
She has the form of a humanoid, the wings of a bird (which includes aasimar, aarakocra, and others), the tusks of an orc, the tail of a tiefling, and an extra eye on her forehead (it is said her 3 eyes represent the 3 moons of PLACEHOLDER). She is represented as hermaphroditic, representing sexual creatures.
Her symbol is the moon with wings.
She is commonly associated with freedom, rebellion, temptation, nonconformity, and evil. She is credited with creating species seen as “bad”, like drow, orcs, and devils. She and her alignments lean toward chaotic evil to true neutral, though they are not restricted to these.
